TryItOnTattoo ("we", "our", "us") operates the TryItOnTattoo mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.
Information We Collect
When you use TryItOnTattoo, we may collect:
- Account information (email address) through Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, or anonymously through a generated user ID
- Photos you take or upload for tattoo preview generation
- Tattoo design images you upload, paste, or screenshot
- Generated tattoo preview images
- App usage data (which features you use, generation history, subscription status)
Photo and Image Data Collection and Use
TryItOnTattoo collects photos and images that you voluntarily submit for tattoo preview generation. Here is how we handle your image data:
- What we collect: Photos of yourself or the body area where you want to preview a tattoo, and the tattoo design images you provide (uploaded, pasted, or screenshotted).
- How we use it: Your photos and tattoo designs are sent to Google's Gemini AI image model for processing. The AI generates a photorealistic preview of the tattoo on your photo, which is returned to your device.
- Third-party processing: Your photos and tattoo designs are transmitted to Google's Gemini API for processing. Google processes the images in real-time to generate the preview. Google's data usage policies apply to this processing — you can review them at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Storage: Generated preview images are stored securely in your TryItOnTattoo account via Supabase, so you can view past previews. Original photos and tattoo design images you upload are processed and not retained long-term beyond what's needed to generate the result.
- Sharing: We do not sell or share your image data with anyone other than Google for the purpose of generating your preview. No other third party receives your photos or designs.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data, including all generated previews, at any time from the Settings menu in the app.
- Consent: By using the app to generate a preview, you consent to your photos and tattoo designs being sent to Google's Gemini API for processing.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Generate AI-powered tattoo previews
- Display your previously generated previews in your gallery
- Manage your account and subscription
- Improve the app experience through anonymized analytics
- Communicate with you about your account or significant changes to our service
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — authentication and data storage (stores your account info and generated preview images)
- Google Gemini API — AI image processing (receives your photos and tattoo designs to generate previews)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (processes subscription status, has no access to your photos)
- Mixpanel — anonymized usage analytics (tracks which features are used to help us improve the app, does not receive your photos)
- Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In — authentication
Data Security
We value your trust and strive to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Your data is stored securely via Supabase's infrastructure.
Your Rights
You may delete your account and all associated data (including generated previews and account information) at any time from the Settings menu within the app. You can also contact us at support@tryitontattoo.com for any data-related requests, including:
- Requesting a copy of your data
- Correcting inaccurate information
- Deleting your account and all associated data
- Withdrawing consent for data processing
Children's Privacy
TryItOnTattoo is rated 9+ and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can delete the information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
